My name is Matthew Jefferies and I am the head chef at Cool Beans Restaurant. I have been a chef for about 10 years now and have had the pleasure of working in some great places including The Hilton and The Savoy in London. The time served at these establishments has made me the chef I am today, but you can never stop learning so I continue to invest in myself learning new skills and techniques to bring the best possible dining experience to you.
We try to create not just great food but works of art, bringing the experience of fine dining to the table whilst keeping good ‘home cooked food roots’. All of the ingredients we use are fresh and locally sourced where we can.
We offer an all day breakfast menu, light lunches, salads & sandwiches as well as a 3 course dinner menu that changes weekly for only £10pp.
Last year I was honoured to be given the award of ‘New Chef of the Year 2016’ along with ‘Best Dish and Chef to Watch’. So this has increased our need to become one of the best places to eat in Kent making it to number 10 in Gillingham within our first year.
